About The Legacy Center
The Legacy Center (TLC) is both an idea and a place. We focus on the radical re-imagination of the delivery of youth services and programs, educator professional development, and community strengthening.
Our work to advance equity can only be achieved through collaboration, convening, and knowledge sharing with stakeholders throughout the St. Louis region. In partnership with school districts, communities, non-profits, and local leaders, TLC is striving to eliminate barriers to accessing high-quality programs and services.
At TLC, we aim to remain both proactive and reactive to the unique needs of the populations that we serve. We pride ourselves as an organization that not only shows up in the community, but also with the community, and more importantly for the community.
A non-profit, TLC was founded in January 2023.

Values
Innovation:
We want to help young people write new stories about who they are and who they want to become. In turn, we want to create a new idea about what a youth center can be.
Youth Power:
We value young people’s voices. We promote and encourage youth decision-making about the programs and services we develop and offer.
Evidence-Based Practice:
Our programs are grounded in the knowledge of what works. We take a holistic, evidence-based approach that is grounded in the science of learning and development, and attends to young people’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Community Collaboration:
We trust and support our partners in this work. Through regional engagement and local collaboration, we will organize, expand, and improve the opportunities and supports for youth in our community.
