At The Legacy Center STL, we believe in fostering growth and opportunity within our community. That’s why we’re proud to announce our third year offering FREE summer camp to the 24:1 district. This year, we’ve already seen an incredible response, with over 60 children signing up on registration day!

Spring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than by getting your hands dirty and growing your own garden? The Legacy Center STL with Claudie’s Urban Gardens is thrilled to present this FREE Gardening Made Easy Workshop, a six-week interactive series designed to equip you with all the skills you need to cultivate a thriving garden.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned gardener looking to refresh your knowledge, this series is for you! Join us every Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00am at The Legacy Center STL, located at 6850 Normandale Drive, Saint Louis, MO, 63121.

This hands-on series will walk participants through essential gardening techniques, from planning and setup to fertilizing and maintaining a lush and productive garden. The workshops are led by experts from Claudie’s Urban Gardens, bringing their extensive experience in urban gardening to guide you through each step. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener looking to refine your skills, this series offers practical guidance, expert advice, and community connection to help you grow with confidence.

Here’s what you can expect in our six-week series:

• March 15 – Effective Garden Planning: Learn how to design your garden layout, choose the right plants, and maximize your space.
• March 22 – Raised Bed Setup: Discover the benefits of raised bed gardening and learn how to build and prepare your own.
• March 29 – Weather Protection Setup: Protect your plants from the elements with practical tips on weather protection.
• April 5 – Watering System Setup: Master the art of efficient watering with various system setups.
• April 12 – Fertilizing and Planting: Learn the secrets to healthy soil and successful planting techniques.
• April 19 – Garden Care and Maintenance: Keep your garden thriving with essential care and maintenance tips.
